Pinterest, an online pinboard launches a new feature, adding a single Pin stream in the ‘Following’ tab making it more convenient for users to focus on every item on the board.
The latest update by Pinterest seems to be as an Instagram style looks like a cue from Instagram. Earlier this year Pinterest launched a chronological ‘following’ tab on to the boards. Now they came up with a single Pin format for easy search of ideas. With just a single tap on a Pin will directly take you to the website for more information driving traffic to the influencers, brands and so on. The update is launched across the globe serving more than 10 billion recommendations. Pinterest also states that the main feed continues to have a mixed content based on activity.
When asked about the latest update appears to be Instagram style Pinterest speaks about the tab.
“…gives Pinners control, as a platform where you can truly toggle between experiences – whether you want chronological or not, algorithmic recommendations or not, or a mix.”
From now if you want the latest Pins from Profiles and Boards you follow can check the ‘Following’ tab within the Pin indeed. The main tab will be unchanged and includes a mix of Pins form profiles users follow.
According to the tech savvies, the Pinterest is hinting by testing an Instagram like a format for increasing of engagement and with the single tap option driving the traffic with no middle process focusing on individual Pin.
Don’t you feel that all the social platforms like Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and now Pinterest all merging into similar styles? It might be working well with the users and marketers.
