Homegrown SaaS enterprise, Zoho has made its first acquihire by buying an HR-tech based startup, ePoise Systems for an undisclosed amount. The agreement also involved the acquisition of ePosie’s intellectual property rights.
Zoho acqui-hired the HR tech firm to strength the hiring solutions in India. “While making an acquisition, we look for the cultural fit as well as the product and technology fit. Zoho offers Zoho Recruit and Zoho People, products in the HR space. ePoise technology may get used in these products,” said Vice President of Zoho Corporation while talking about the acquisition.
ePoise Systems is a Bengaluru-based startup co-founded in 2013 by Sachin Agrawal and Bishan Singh. The firm is the leading HR tech startup which provides a base for talent selection and development space with the utilization of the potency of technology that includes mobile, cloud, social media and AI.
The startup has acquired more than 300 clients namely, Siemens, Flipkart, Harman, Ola, HDFC Bank, hp, Firstsource, and Reliance among others and still growing strong and steady. The company also powers the Startup Jobs app, an initiative from NASSCOM’s 1000 startups to generate a community of startup jobs and talent pools. ePosie company won several awards and recognition in its journey, for its innovation. In 2016, it was proclaimed as India’s best HR Startup by NHRD.
ePoise Systems provides an automated hiring software product to focus on mass recruiting companies. It also has a string of pre-designed screening steps for various company profiles. There will also be a set of assessments that eventually leads to an automated video interview.
The Chennai-based startup, Zoho is a software development company founded in 1996 by Sridhar Vembu and Tony Thomas. The Zoho corporation focuses on web-based business tools and information technology solutions. It has 40+ integrated online applications serving multiple business operations like finance, email and collaboration, sales and marketing, IT, HR and a few to name.
Zoho will be adding automation capabilities to human resource products with the acquisition of ePoise Systems. With this, the Zoho corporation includes hr products called Zoho Recruit and Zoho people.
Zoho Recruit is for managing the company’s recruiting process through Applicant Tracking System (ATS), whereas Zoho People is a hub for covering multiple human resource management operations.
