Snapchat was hacked by unknown hackers, making the profiles more vulnerable. The company was sued for patent infringement and Snap Map privacy concerns. It nearly lost $1.3 billion markets when Kylie Jenner tweet criticizing the redesign of the app.
Rihanna tweeted that Snapchat was insensitive to domestic violence victims” and urged fans to delete Snapchat because of a post stating, “Would you rather punch Chris Brown or slap Rihanna?”
