In Smartphone-
– Open Facebook messenger app
– Open the conversation of whom you want to delete the chat
– Choose the message you want to delete, and long press on that message and then choose delete.
– Your message will get delete.

In web-
– Visit facebook.com
– Open the chat option situated at the right of the top most column.
– Choose the conversation
– A chat box will appear, in that chat box a gear sign option will be there, click on that and choose open in messenger.
– There you will find an option with three dots beside your partners message, just click on that and then click delete.
– Your message will get delete.

To delete a conversation from Facebook:
Click at the top of the page.
Open the conversation you want to delete.
ClickOptions at the top of the chat window and click Delete Conversation….
You can also delete a conversation from your messages inbox:
Go to your messages inbox by clicking Messenger in the top left of Facebook.
Open the conversation you want to delete.
Click in the top right and click Delete.
Note: Once you choose to delete a conversation, this can’t be undone.
Keep in mind that deleting a conversation from your inbox won’t delete it from your friend’s inbox. It isn’t possible to dele

Find the conversation that contains messages you want to delete. You can delete your copy of any message you’ve sent or received. Open the conversation that contains the messages you want to remove. You can find a list of your conversations in the Home tab of the Messenger app.Press and hold on the message you want to delete. You can only delete one message at a time using the Messenger app. Press and hold the message you want to remove until a new menu appears.
If you want to delete multiple messages at once, use the previous method on the Facebook desktop website.Select “Delete” from the menu that appears. After confirming, the message will be removed from the conversation. This will only affect your copy of the message. Any other conversation participants will still be able to see the original message.
