The news is coming from Flipkart that Binny Bansal, the founder of Flipkart is getting down from his works and position as CEO of the company. Walmart which controls the Flipkart unit now considering the next level of appointing its new group level CEO and both internal and external candidates will be considered for the position of CEO. As per the reports, Kalyan Krishnamurthy is the first choice for now for the CEO of Flipkart. Nothing was commented by the Walmart or Flipkart units on this statement.
Flipkart Pvt. LTD is one of the most popular E-Commerce websites, headquartered in Banglore, India. Recently, US retail chain Walmart Inc. acquired a huge stake in May 2018 by bidding and winning over Amazon for $16 billion, this was the huge bidding deal ever in the retail market of U.S as cited. Myntra and Jabong were the fashion retailers to Flipkart and recently the firm extended its unit by including mobile payment firm Phone Pe.
