Indian startup ecosystem has grown more than 25 percent in last one year. We have seen more than thousand new tech startup added to the ecosystem along with a large number of acquisitions. Established startups are on an acquiring spree in order to grow their presence/seize a larger market share/withstand increasing competition. According to the reports the Indian Startup Ecosystem saw around 123 startup acquisitions in 2017. We brought you some of the biggest start acquisition in 2017.
Biggest Acquisition of 2017
#1 Indian E-commerce giant Flipkart acquired the Indian Operation of eBay in the month of April.
#2 Tech Giant Google acquired only four-month-old Indian startup named Halli Labs. This Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning based startup Google’s Next Billion Users team.
#3 Famous insurance software company Ebix acquired a digital media startup and online payment company Itzcash in 123 Million Dollars.
#4 Sokrati a social advertising company acquired by Dentsu in July 2017 in somewhere around 110-130 million dollars.
#5 India’s very own taxi aggregator Ola acquired the Indian operations of Foodpanda in the third quarter of 2017.
