Zayn Malik’s Decision of Leaving 1D Created an Outrage on Social Media

One Direction, the English-Irish pop boy band that started with Five young boys who couldn’t make it to X-Factor individually though were put to together as a five-piece boy band for the competition are now left with just Four of them. Sadly, Zayn Malik has officially left the Band and would no longer be the voice among the popular band 1D.

On Wednesday social media servers creaked under the combined misery of millions of heartbroken fans, as Zayn Malikwith the words:

“I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.“I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world.”

Zayn Malik, #OneDirection and #AlwaysInOurHeartsZaynMalik were all trending worldwide on Twitter within an hour of the announcement.

Fans have flooded social media with grief and dispair after the announcement that Zayn Malik has left. Some said they were planning to hold vigils, some even got down on their knees and prayed. There was also some anger that the teen heart-throb was departing the biggest boy band in the world.

Harry, Louis, Liam and Niall who have been with him since the very start, have now all posted messages on Twitter in relation to the news.

In an interview with The Sun he said: “I can’t do this anymore.” And the star admitted his decision was “crazy and wild and a bit mad.

“But I’ve never felt more in control in my life. I feel like I’m doing what’s right, right by myself and right by the boys.”

“Basically, I’m only upset [because] I feel like I may have let them (fans) down.” Further added “It’s not that I’ve turned my back on them [the fans] or anything, it’s just that I just can’t do that anymore because it’s not real to me.”

Well he has made the decision for his own good, though he has broken hearts of millions. The band would not be the same without him but they would carry on the Legacy of being World’s best boy band.
