Apple Announces The Launch Of TV Streaming, New Credit Card And Other Services

Apple, the iPhone maker’s has made a grand entry unveiling its own TV streaming, Apple Card, and Apple Arcade at Apple Park, California.

The company says the Apple TV plus will become “the new home for the world’s most creative storytellers featuring exclusive original shows, movies, and documentaries”- a video featuring Hollywood director Steven Spielberg and Stars.

Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell, and Reese Witherspoon took the stage to discuss Apple original series called The Morning Show. The event has been rained with Hollywood superstars that included Jason Momoa, Kumail Nanjiani, Alfre Woodard, J.J. Abrams and more paraded to the event.

The company is expected to spend around $2 billion in making a new content which is going to stand toe-to-toe with the other major video streaming platforms like Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, and others.

The multinational company is working on developing original content- “Are you Sleeping?” a crime show produced by Reese Witherspoon, “Amazing Stories” by Steven Spielberg, A French adaption “Calls”, “Central Park”, animated musical comedy and more.

Apple TV Plus will be an ad-free that is available on demand and can be viewed both online and offline. The company is in plans to launch it in over 100 countries this fall but did not disclose about the pricing. The Apple TV plus can be accessed through Apple TV app on iOS, Roku, Fire TV, and Mac.

The Apple Card

Apple has also announced the launch of the thinnest and lightest Apple Credit Card a significant push into the financial services by collaborating with Goldman Sachs and MasterCard. It’s made out of laser- etched titanium available both physically and virtually and no international or late fees, lower interest rates, and rewards. More surprisingly, there is no credit card number, expiry date, CVV, or signature. The details of the customer are stored in the Apple Pay app.

Apple Arcade

Apple Arcade is a subscription-based gaming service that allows users to play more than 100 games in offline mode. It seems to be the perfect answer to Google’s Google Stadia but with an extra feature added to it. The gaming platform will offer an ad-free gaming affair that can be shared by a family of 6. It will be available on Mac, iPad, Apple TV, and iPhone, and will launch in and around 150 markets this year.

Eventually, prices for all three services are not yet disclosed by the company.

Apple Inc. took the world by storm with the announcement of the three services and made it tough for the platforms of various categories.
