Instagram co-founders to step down from the social media company to embark and explore on a new journey.

Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, co-founders of widely used photo-sharing app Instagram sparked the news by announcing its resignation from their positions and leaving the social media company, Instagram in the coming weeks.

Mr.Systrom and Mr. Krieger stated that they are ‘ leaving to explore our curiosity and creativity again’.Kevin and Mike did not officially share the information and reasons behind stepping down from the company on Monday. But said that they are planning to take time off after leaving the company. Bloomberg media reported that this might be because of growing tensions between the pair and Facebook, who bought Instagram in 2012 about the direction of the business.

Kevin Systrom, 34, CE of Instagram and Mike Krieger, 32, CEO duo known since 2010 where the men behind the 1 billion users of Instagram. This was highly used for photo sharing, videos and 24 hours story disappear applications.In 2012, Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook bought the Instagram for $20billion.

Mr.Zuckeberg of Facebook publically issued a public statement that, ‘the company really enjoyed working’ with them. “Kevin and Mike are extraordinary product leaders and Instagram reflects their combined creative talents,” wrote Zuckerberg. “I’ve learned a lot working with them for the past six years and have really enjoyed it. I wish them all the best and I’m looking forward to seeing what they build next.”

In a statement, late Monday, Kevin said he and Mr. Krieger were “ready for our next chapter,” and hinted they exploring and creating something new.
