There’s always a war going on about gender differences and today you will see how much men and women use social media. Men use social media for business and dating, whereas women use it for relationships, sharing, entertainment, knowledge and self-help. I have gathered some stats which I am showing below about the differences of how much men and women on internet use social media:

Social networking sites:

Men-72%
Women-76%

Facebook:

Men-66%
Women-76%

Average post on Facebook:

Men-254
Women-394

Facebook games:

Men-31%
Women-69%

Twitter:

Men-15%
Women-22%

Instagram:

Men-15%
Women-20%

Pinterest:

Men-8%
Women-33%

LinkedIn:

Men-24%
Women-19%

Google+:

Men-64%
Women-36%

YouTube:

Men-54%
Women-46%

As you can see men are more active on LinkedIn, Google+ and YouTube, as they prefer quick access to deals and information and like have business relationships with as many people as they can, on the other hand women are more dominant on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest because they are more interested in friends and family and like to be updated by sharing pictures of each other. Women conserve news more often than men and unlike men they ignore paid ads too.

Generally, women are more protective of their personal information because of the greater concerns of “cyberstalking”,  “cyberbullying” and security problems. But there are some similarities too like both are always accurate about their birthdays and enjoy funny and celebrity endorsements.
