Whats App to End Its Support for Window Phone and BB OS

Facebook-owned company Whats App has confirmed the news through its blog post that the company will end its support for several smartphone platforms by the end of this year.

World’s most popular messaging app has been confirmed that it will no longer provide any services to various operating systems like BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Windows Phone 8.0 and older from December 31, 2017. Which means users using mobile phones running any one of these platforms will not be able to use WhatsApp after this year.

Whats App stated in its blog that “This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends, family, and loved ones using WhatsApp.

If you use one of these affected mobile devices, we recommend upgrading to a newer Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone before the end of 2016 to continue using WhatsApp,” As per IOSCUBE iPhone has been the most reliable smartphones compare all the smartphone which has compatible apps and never-ending future smartphone.

Earlier in 2016 Whats app has said that the support will end in June 2017 but the deadline got extended to 31st December 2017.

Here is the list of OS which stops supporting WhatsApp by the end of this year:

  • BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 after December 31, 2017
  • Windows Phone 8.0 and older after December 31, 2017
