Being affected the hardest amid this pandemic, small businesses are struggling to survive. But Brands have been coming up with new tools and strategies every now and then to help support them during this crisis. Among these popular brands, Pinterest came up with another set of tools and resources that should help small businesses cover any losses amid the lockdown.
While joining the #StandForSmall coalition among other big brands, Pinterest added tools like:
Verified Merchant Program
A free program, especially built with helping small businesses in mind, offers a stage where Pinterest will increase the exposure of small brands to shoppers on their platform. Users will be able to see more profiles and pins from small businesses, that meet Pinterest’s guidelines.
A tool designed for brands to upload the complete list of catalog or products they have. on Pinterest without any issues. This tool allows businesses to turn their product pins into shoppable pins, which we believe is a very nifty feature.
Pinterest recently introduced their new shop, where users will be able to browse and purchase products from different creators and small businesses. This should offer an amazing shopping experience to users on the platform. This feature feels similar to what Instagram Checkout offers as well.
Pinterest also introduced dynamic business profiles that allows brands to add a custom video cover image to their profiles and they’ll be getting their very own ‘Shop’ tab on their profiles.
In addition to these tools, Pinterest also offered some educational resources that should help businesses improve their marketing strategies. Some of these include:
- Staying Connected to Customers
- Guidelines for better interactions with customers
- Pinterest Academy
- Stay Safe. Stay Inspired. board for inspiration during this pandemic.
Pinterest also assured that they’ll continue to increase the collection of resources as they become available. Head over to Pinterest’s official blog to understand more about their resources.
