It also allows you to access local skills, including the ability to ask for local weather and traffic, your best bet involves setting it up from scratch. During setup, you can then choose from English (India) out of the four language options.
Changes Made in Alexa App for India
Parag Gupta head of product management for Amazon Devices in India said in a recent interview. “We wanted our devices to talk, walk and feel Indian Alexa is not a visiting American, she has a very Indian personality”.
Alexa uses a blend of Hindi and English and speaks with an unmistakably Indian accent. Also, the app is fully remodeled for Indian Audience, for example, it tells jokes in Hindi and can give your live cricket score and can add jeera (cumin), haldi (turmeric) and atta (flour) to your shopping list.
