Facebook has outlined efforts to provide users with control over their data and how it is being accessed, and how they can maintain, aware & control how the misuse can be avoided.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg outlines three key areas of improvement – and though none of the features shared in his post was new, rather improvements and making the process more transparent seems to be their goal.

Facebook has highlighted its updated Privacy Check-Up tool, that was first announced earlier this month. This newer version has been split into four sections, which have cleat instruction making it easier to understand them.

Facebook mentioned that within the next few weeks, “nearly 2 billion people around the world” will receive a prompt in their News Feed encouraging them to review their privacy settings.

The prompt will show up in your News Feed and direct you to the Privacy Checkup tool. This makes it even easier to adjust who can see your posts and profile information, strengthen your account security by turning on login alerts, and review the information you share with apps you’ve logged in to with Facebook.”
