Hospitality Chain OYO Partners With SoftBank, Launches OYO Hotels In Japan

India’s most significant and homegrown hospitality chain startup, OYO Hotels and Homes has teamed up with SoftBank to start hotel and rooms operations in Japan forming OYO Hotels Japan.

Prior to this, OYO launched OYO Life in Japan in a joint venture with Yahoo! On Thursday, the company has announced the hotel operations in Japan in collaboration with Tokyo-based Softbank Corp and Softbank Vision fund.

Ken Miyauchi, CEO of SoftBank Corp. in a statement,

“Combining OYO’s most advanced business model with SoftBank Corp.’s knowledge of the Japanese market, we will provide brand-new hotel experience to travelers in Japan. Moreover, OYO Hotels Japan offers various values for owners such as dynamic pricing and reservation systems, contributing to the elimination of labor shortages and flexible pricing.”

With the launch in Japan, OYO Hotels Japan strives to enable small and self-supporting owners in Japan with its dynamic transformation capabilities and integrated hotel/ryokan management system powered by advanced AI technology, to enhance the profitability and efficiency.

OYO Hotels and Homes founder and CEO, Ritesh Agarwal, stated,

“With OYO Hotels Japan, we will be focused on creating unique hospitality experiences for both domestic and international travelers in Japan.”

The hospitality chain has now successfully expanded its operations to 10 countries that include India, Nepal, China, Malaysia, UK, UAE, Indonesia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Japan. The company collaborates with more than 13,000 hotels and 3,000 homes on its platform.
