Microsoft Cortana will be decoupled from Windows

Cortana, Microsoft’s virtual assistant, created for Windows 10, Microsoft Band, Android, iOS, Amazon Alexa and more will now be made available as a separate app in the Microsoft store.

First, the decoupling of Cortana from the search app to the windows will be updated and affected from 10 May 2019. With the update seems like Microsoft may work to make Cortana better assistant by bringing the separate virtual assistant application.

Microsoft uses the beta app to update Cortana into a separate app from Windows 10 to make digital assistant get new features. But the fact is that Cortana was built as web-based service and can easily get updated without the effects of changes in Window 10.

There is no public statement so far from the team but rumours air about it to likely connect to the latest beta phase 19H2 Windows 10 Update.

The new beta phase is expected to arrive with a full Linux Kernel. The company even started developing and testing the first t2020 Windows 10 update before 19H2.

Dona Sarkar, Microsoft Windows Insider Chief, January 2019 stated-

“This will enable each experience to innovate independently to best serve their target audiences and use cases.”

“This change is one of several we’ve made throughout this release to improve your experience in this space, including updating the search landing page design, enhancing your search results, and integrating Microsoft To-Do with Cortana,” Dona adds.
