Twitter just relaunched its account verification process along with one notable new feature.
THE BLUE TICK
Let’s first take a look at its verification application program for the public that reopened after a three-year hiatus.
This feature was basically made for the users to distinguish between the accounts that are of high public interest from others.
This has almost always led to healthier and more informed conversations for everyone involved.
VERIFICATION PROCESS
Users will be able to see the new verification applications directly in their account, these applications, when submitted will decide whether the user’s account is worthy of being labeled as verified or not.
If rejected, users can apply for the verification process after a period of 30 days.
The three-year hiatus was put on this program as Twitter needed to review its policies and parameters that users needed to meet to get their accounts verified.
VIRTUAL MONETIZED AUDIO ROOMS
Moving on to the aforementioned new feature launched by Twitter.
Twitter now allows you to host paid audio rooms and sell tickets to people who are interested.
Twitter has been focusing on helping creators make money as they also seemed to be working on a tip jar feature some time back.
An individual who wants to host these audio rooms must fulfill these three requirements.
They must have at least a thousand followers.
Must have at least hosted three spaces in the past 30 days.
And finally must be at least 18 years old.
