TVF is one of most famous online content creators in India. Founder of TVF:

Arunabh Kumar is the founder of The Viral Fever. He was born in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. He joined IIT, Kharagpur in 2001 for his graduation. After Graduation Arunabh moved to Mumbai and started working as a consultant copywriter for advertising agencies. In 2010 he got the Idea of The Viral Fever and registered the company with same name.

Recently Arunabh Kumar resigned from the post of CEO of TVF because of sexual harassment complaints filed by some of the female employees against him.

In Febuary 2012 TVF released its first video named Rowdies, which was spoof of a famous TV program Roadies. With in few days of release the video got more than 1 million view on YouTube. After that TVF released many small comical videos which went viral on internet, Some of their videos also featured by big movie stars like Shahrukh Khan, Ranveer Singh and Sunny leone Etc.

Web Series:

TVF’s first web series was Permanent Roommates. This web series went on to become one of the most watched Web series on Youtube. First season of this web series became so popular that makers also released the second season later which was also a big hit. The second season of Permanent Roommates was sponsored by Ola cabs and CommonFloors.

After the huge success of Permanent Roommates TVF came up with another web series named TVF Pitchers. The story was about group of friends who quit their job to start their own company and their struggle to raise funding for their project. This Series also became very popular among the Youth and after a very successful first season, TVF is working on the second season.

TVF Trippling is the third web series from TVF. This series was about a road trip by 3 siblings. Like previous two web series this one also became very popular among the people. This series was sponsored by Tata to advertise their new car TATA-Tiago


With the release of TVF-Pitchers, TVF also released their own video on Demand platform called TVF play. TVF play show case all the original content from TVF with other popular TV programs and movies.

TVF Play:

TVF Play is a mobile application designed by TVF to showcase there video content. Every original video of TVF first they show case on TVF-Play app then after few day they release it on YouTube. TVF-Play app has more than 1 million downloads on Google play store with average app rating. In February last year one of the biggest investment companies invested 10 million dollars in TVF picking up a minority stake of 25% in the firm, with this investment, TVF is now valued at Rs 270 crore.

Business Model:

TVF’s major source of income is brand sponsorship from various brands like Ola, Tata, and CommonFloor etc and advertisements through YouTube and their own App TVF play.
