Google brings out Google images to make shopping easier

Google now made it easy for India to search and shop for products in the search. The shopping feature is live in India where you can see shopping links for generic searches displayed on Google Images.

When a user selects a product image on Google Images search, he/she can see details like brand, price, reviews and availability of the product along with the captions directing to website.

Google states that

“Starting today, when you select an image, it will appear in a side panel on the page, next to the search results. Importantly, it stays there as you scroll, letting you easily compare images with others on the page. Do this as many times as you want without losing track of what you looked at; just hit the back button to bring up the last image you clicked on.

To help make shopping decisions easier, when you select an image of a product, you’ll now see details such as the brand, price, availability and reviews. We’ve also added captions to the related images shown under the image you’ve selected, so you know where you’re going before you click.”

This new feature benefits users to locate similar images by comparing with other products. With this, it will make the online review more significant and may quickly become an SEO consideration for most of the e-commerce brands.

It seems like Google is giving a fierce competition to Amazon with the product search. Generally, users count on Amazon page for product reviews or searches, now Google product images made live, and there is a lot of possibility in going with Google search for easy access to the product.

Google during the time of launch said that,

“More than 40 Mn Indians are coming online every year, and search is an integral part of their online journey. From seasoned desktop shoppers to first-time users with entry-level smartphones, we hope this new shopping experience will make finding what people are looking for just a little bit easier.”
