Anushka Sharma’s new horror movie is releasing this Friday and the producers have opted for a no-promotion strategy. All we got to see so far is one trailer and a set of five teasers referred as screamer by the filmmakers. Contrary to the word Pari, the film is not any cute fairytale. In fact movie’s tagline says “not a fairy tale”.
Anushka is playing a victim of some supernatural force trying to inflict pain on her. Her petrified look in the trailer got the hearts beating faster. And this is all that we’ve seen in the trailer.
The film producers did not go for traditional film promotion strategy of going to every channel and seen everywhere but took help of social media to create a buzz about #pari. As the film is releasing on the occasion of Holi. The team started a hashtag #holiwithpari and hashtag became trending on all social media networks especially Instagram and Twitter.

Anushka Sharma also announced a competition in which the audience has been asked to share selfie/Video using the Pari AR filter with the camera on Facebook with the same #HoliWithPari hashtag and the competition got many entries resulted in more promotion of the movie.

It is #HoliWithPari. And it is also Holi with scary Pari! The film is releasing on the festive weekend and it’ll be the first time that Holi will turn bloody. Holi this year also falls on an extended weekend, a time which is reserved for family outings and getaways. And Pari might not ensure the most entertaining movie watching experience for many.
